From Tracking Symptoms to Reading Biology: Femtech's Next Phase Canadian Arrival

EDMONTON, Alberta, September 24, 2026. For Ovulio Corp., the next phase of femtech is about moving beyond tracking periods and symptoms to helping women and doctors understand the biological signals behind them.

The company today named EndoDiagnosis, Inc. its Canadian distributor for Ovul, an at-home, reusable saliva estrogen monitor. The partnership will focus on distribution through Canadian clinics and pharmacies, supported by clinician education.

Ovuls approach combines an established biological phenomenon with computer vision: as saliva dries, it forms crystallization patterns associated with hormonal changes throughout the menstrual cycle. Ovul captures these patterns and uses AI-assisted analysis to help users follow changes over time, rather than interpret individual samples by eye.

Ovulio's aim is to make biological information more accessible and useful in everyday life, with AI supporting understanding rather than replacing clinical judgment.

In a published clinical study, Ovul was evaluated against serial ultrasound folliculometry as the reference method and reported 97.6% accuracy when either an ovulation or a fertile window reading was counted as a positive result. Independently, researchers at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Mass General Brigham published an NIH-funded feasibility study on digitally enabled, AI-interpreted salivary ferning for ovulation prediction. That work was conducted independently of Ovulio.

Ovul is currently a wellness product. It does not diagnose, screen for, or rule out endometriosis. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Its role is to give women additional information about their hormone cycle biology to discuss with a healthcare professional.

The partnership's broader goal is to help women spend fewer months navigating the diagnostic process by bringing that information into clinical conversations earlier. Clinical workflow and reducing time to diagnosis are the primary ambitions for the partnership. EndoDiagnosis will lead Canadian market access, clinician education, and distribution. The company already distributes ENDOSURE in Canada, bringing experience in introducing women’s health technologies to healthcare providers.

The announcement comes amid developments in Canadian women's health policy and funding. In March 2026, Bill S-243, which proposes a national framework for women's health, was referred to a Senate committee, where it remains under consideration. That same month, Health Canada

announced more than C$5.4 million through its Sexual and Reproductive Health Fund for organizations working in areas including endometriosis, fertility, and menopause care. The department reported C$86.4 million in funding through the program since 2021.

The need for earlier answers is reflected in Canadian research. A survey published in 2020 found an average delay of 5.4 years between the onset of symptoms and diagnosis among respondents with endometriosis.
